The symptoms of peri/menopause can damped our spirit. Life feels dull. We feel low energy and stagnant.
This bundle includes ‘kapha' balancing practices to uplift and restore your life force energy. Even though life might feel damp and dull at the moment, it's not going to stay like that forever. Yoga can contribute to supporting us to grow into whoever we want to be at this stage of our life.
'Kapha' is a term from the Indian holistic system of healing called Ayurveda, yoga's sister science.
When kapha is out of balance, (which can be the case during the transition to menopause); it can feel as if water has been poured over the flame. We feel deflated, lethargic, lack of energy and a zest for life. It is a state that is real, and many women feel it due to the fluctuating hormones.
This kapha flow is all about energising, uplifting and kickstarting you into a new state of feeling excited about life again // 39 minutes
A yin practice to nourish your body and mind but also contemplate what you envision for yourself at this phase of your life // 43 minutes
A restorative yoga practice to nourish you on all levels of your human BEing-ness. This is your time to fill up your cup //
42 minutes

Little did i know that the peri-menopause symptoms would wreck such havoc on my body, mind, spirit and yoga practice. But it did.
Over a period of 6 years I experienced 14 symptoms. Even as a yoga/fitness teacher, I didn't know all the peri/menopause symptoms and how important it would be to adapt my yoga practice to the symptoms. I did what i was used to doing; push through things. In this case the "thing" was the symptoms. It left me feeling worse.
Since pushing through it didn't work, i started to pay more attention to how i was feeling. Some days i had energy to flow, other days i could barely get out of bed and needed to stay in the ebb by either practicing yin or restorative yoga. I also became a qualified menopause yoga teacher to learn more.
With more knowledge i came to trust the process and started to ebb and flow with my mood and symptoms. It worked so much better!.
Of course with 20/20 hindsight it makes complete sense that the hormonal fluctuations during peri/menopause might require a different approach to our yoga practice in order to find better balance.
I wish i had known, but i hope that what i learned the hard way can be of help to any woman wanting to get the most out of her yoga practice during the transition to menopause.
I hear you. I see you. I am you.
